Drag Acid is a visual zine by artist Brian Hegarty of thirtythree-45 collective with accompanying CD. Issue 1 is an 18 page full colour with photographs, artworks and found images. No text, just visuals and an accompanying CD of ‘Cut off point’ a 20 minute shimmering, brooding ambient piece performed by Brian Hegarty.
In a world full of information overload the aim of this zine is to allow the images/audio to do the work. No explanation, no conceptual verbal gymnastics, no spelt out narrative, no artist CV. The aim is to allow the viewer to view, to have their own take on the work or just look and listen.
