BLOOMERS is an independent publication which celebrates the work of emerging female Artists based in Ireland. BLOOMERS intends to aid emerging female artists by showcasing and discussing their work online and in print.
The title of issue 5 of Bloomers Magazine is Where We Once Lived, When Myths Collided - a line from Eavan Boland’s poem Love. In this poem she mythologies powerful emotions while invoking Aeneas’s journey to the underworld. The issue is a collection of visual art and text produced by emerging female artists based in Ireland who are in some way exploring, subverting or placing new perspectives on mythological themes, figures or experiences.
