Janus van den Eijnden's images document the sense of place and community within Amsterdam's famous Cafe Eik En Linde, an long standing establishment which has survived not only WWII but passed hands between several owners, while maintaining its original down-to-earth atmosphere. The space was a haven for artists and also the site of a radio show which ran in the Netherlands for years.
Eijnden's portraits of its patrons captures the ambience and character of the space and the people who frequent it.
