Cróna Gallagher is an award-winning Irish artist based in Leitrim Sculpture Centre, Manorhamilton. Etchings have been exhibited at national and international level and are held in private and public collections. Her work has been displayed in The Annual Exhibition at the Royal Hibernian and Royal Ulster Academies. Selected group shows include Cairde Visual, The Solomon Gallery, Hyde Bridge Gallery, The Origin Gallery, An Táin Arts Centre and many others. In 2016 Crona was awarded an Arts bursary by Leitrim County Council. She was awarded the Printmaking prize at the RUA in 2018 and Leitrim County Council presented her with the award for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts in the same year. Solo exhibitions include ‘Eikyo! /Eikyo2’ at The Hyde Bridge Gallery, Sligo and Féile an Phobail in Belfast and ‘The Hare of Ben Bó’ at Leitrim Sculpture Centre. Residencies include Leitrim Sculpture Centre, Cill Railaig Arts Centre, Heinrich Böll cottage, Ginestrelle in Italy and Tyrone Guthrie Centre with Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus. Cróna engages regularly with the local community through workshops and classes and is supported by Leitrim County Council, Creative Ireland, Dept of Arts and Heritage, the Arts Council and the Dept of Education.
