About the Artist

Eimhin Farrell is a printmaker from County Monaghan currently living and working in Dublin. Having graduated from NCAD in 2018, he is a member of Black Church Print Studio and works primarily through etching. His subject matter mainly comprises nature, architecture and the impact of one on the other. Technically, he is influenced by traditional intaglio styles, everything from Renaissance-era engraving to modern-era illustrative etchings. Combining his technical influences and primary subject matter, he attempts to use traditional techniques to portray contemporary imagery, themes and ideas.
