About the Artist

Gabrielle is a female visual artist currently based in Dublin, Ireland. She graduated from Limerick School of art and design in 2017 and continued her practice in Galway shortly after graduating. In 2017, Gabrielle was awarded the ORIGINS graduate solo award, along with being shortlisted for the Inspirational Arts Graduate Award. In 2018, she continued her practice in Engage Art Studios after receiving a residency award, along with working as a Youth Arts Facilitator for a project in collaboration with Red Bird Youth Arts Collective. In 2019, she had her second solo exhibition in Galway Arts
Centre, and continues to produce work by employing the use of lighting design, photography, and video. Through the use of these mediums, Gabrielle’s practice reflects on the dark side of the human psyche and non-verbal communication. Gabrielle’s work aims to challenge traditional topics in video and photography, instead addressing the taboo side of human psychology and existence.
