Runner Up in the 2020 ‘Walkers & Business to Arts Stories From The Docklands Photography Competition’.
Kate Swift, a Dublin based photographer, has a passion for the craft of both traditional and digital photography. She embraces visual storytelling and human connection to develop her portraiture and documentary work.
Documenting important cultural and social stories she recently exhibited her large format portrait series titled The Lost Art depicting Ireland’s retired printers and craftsmen at the National Print Museum. The exhibition titled A Photographic Celebration of the Chapel is currently on show until the end of year. Her recent series titled Lost Soles is a visual storytelling documentation of the redevelopment of Dalkey’s Bullock Harbour, which was awarded Gold at the National SMedia Awards 2020.
Kate most recently developed a body of work during the 2km Covid lock down titled Beyond Covid, which just won Silver at the Business to Arts & Walkers Photography Competition. Kate seeks to capture the essence and soul of people, places and time through her work.
