Ryklova is a Dublin based artist, working in lens-based media. She is one of 5 selected Irish Talents respresenting PhotoIreand at FUTURES Photography in 2020. She is the winner of the 2017 Horton Art Works Prize for work by a recent graduate, and in 2016 she was shortlisted for the Hennessy Portrait Prize, which exhibited at the National Gallery of Ireland. She presented her first solo exhibition in 2018 at Triskel Arts Centre in Cork, and has two upcoming solo exhibition in 2021 (Belfast, Westport). Her work has been featured in a number of group exhibitions held in Ireland as well as at the UK based FiLiA Feminist Conference (London, Manchester), and is included in the Art Collection of Trinity College Dublin.
In her practice Ryklova explores both the social construction of the self and the self-concept. Performing to the camera she produces series of photographic and video self-portraits.
