CUR SÍOS

'It's hard to find the words. It was hard six months ago, 75 years ago, and still now, it's hard to find the words to express the pain, the rage, the grief for what we are witnessing. But find them we must, and finding them within ourselves, within our deepest forms of human expression, is more important now than ever, as empires collapse and we are called to remember something life-giving from the rubble.

This journal is borne out of that need to do something, to express our humanity, knowing that it too is at threat, and to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.'
(Words by editors Lucy O'Hagan and Denise Conroy)

With contributions from: Róisín El Cherif, Fatin Al Tamimi, Tuqa al Sarraj, Amir Abualrob, Myrna Al-Tajuri, Zoë Lawlor, Ruth Smith, Sage Jaffrey, Caoimhe Butterly and Denise Conroy.
