Louis Scully is a lens-based artist, photographer, and maker. He recently graduated with First Class Honours from the Moving Image BA Program at the National College of Art & Design (NCAD).
His ongoing project, Empathising with the Enemy, features interviews with Palestinian and Israeli solidarity activists who collaborate in efforts to end the occupation and achieve peace and equal rights for all between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. For the first iteration of this project, filming and photography took place on location in March and April 2024, and this work formed the basis of his first solo exhibition, which opened at the NCAD Gallery in September 2024. Louis describes this project as both a historical archival document at a poignant and devastating moment, and as an artistic expression that highlights the glimmers of hope that persist against the odds. His current practice focuses on interrogating the intersections of truth, solidarity, perspective, and Western ignorance.
We only deliver framed prints within Dublin. Framed prints are no longer posted. All postage costs for unframed works are processed separately following order of the print.
