Airmid's Journal is a biannual journal of Irish foraging, folklore, myth, magic, and remedies. Each issue is intended to be an ever-growing tapestry of stories, woven together with the plants of this land. Old stories, new stories, personal tales, and present spells.
In this issue, the reader learns from the elders, the warp and weft of this collective tapestry. The waters of Loch nEathach, Lough Neagh, lap up against these pages. Reminding them of the dangers of ecological amnesia. They hear the whispers of forgotten kin. They are invited to remember the secrets lost when mountains are minded and to let the imbas of a dammed river and a polluted well flow.
With contributions from: Annemarie Ní Churreáin, Kerri ní Dochartaigh, Dr Louise Taylor, Aindrias de Staic, Han Hogan, Tara Baoth Mooney, Suzie Cahn, Laura Wade, Denise Conroy and Lucy Ní hAodhágain.
