Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man - one of the well - known novels of Irish writer James Joyce. The novel follows the development of Stephen Dedalus from childhood to adolescence. His family decides he should attend Clongowes Wood college, a Jesuit boys' school. However, young Stephen struggles to fit in with his peers. The main point outlined in the artwork is about ability to save identity that may not fit to the fast-paced society that goes from childhood to adolescence, about saving personal principles and be yourself no matter what faces the character.

About the Artist

Jana Bulochova is the lens-based artist from Lithuania, living in Dublin. Through the creation of work, she demonstrates both abilities as a visual artist and as a screenwriter. With each project or shoot, techniques and tools may change, but perspective, drama, and sensuality remain.

A distinctive characteristic of Jana's  work is its ability to place literal as well as ambiguous compositions, alternately deconstructing and reconstructing to provoke the curiosity of a viewer. Her signature is colour and integrations that may look playful, emotional and sometimes ironic at the same time.
