Extra Terrestrial, Reggie McCafferty

A photobook by New York based photographer Reggie McCafferty that explores the use of fiction to build a documentary language based in folklore and mythology. The book at once celebrates the unlikeliness of life on Earth and probes the very human tradition of looking to the sky for answers. 

Reggie McCafferty is an artist-photographer based in New York City whose practice transposes the American landscape with localised narratives and multi-faceted cultural shifts. More than technique, McCafferty’s work alludes more to the experience of being in an environment and observing the world than the mechanising of the camera itself.
