Human beings have always tried to represent themselves through the act of isolating and symbolising certain parts of the body. From the prehistoric caves where they carved their hands on the rock, in an uninterrupted succession of figures, they have given life to an inexhaustible constellation of instinctive iconic gestures, graffiti, made for fun, with shamanic and religious purposes, or as a communicative act.
The artist Attilio Solzi asked himself which symbol was the most designed today and which could express the immediate character of this human self-figuration. The penis, made up of three simple cylindrical shapes, ubiquitous on the walls of all cities, on the diaries of all adolescents, is probably the most drawn shape in the world.
Obsession, collects 50 drawings/examples of penis, which the artist has always created on the same photograph, a mobile advertising billboard. The series has become a poster book.
