About the Artist

Mark Walsh is a lens based artist living in Galway, Ireland. Mark's work has been exhibited and published internationally.

Since 2021 Mark has been working on a project titled Requiem for a river which explores the strange and melancholy world that is Ireland's polluted rivers and lakes. Images from this project were recently part of a selected exhibition at the Trieste Photo Days Festival and are included in the photobook of the same title 71% - The State of Water.

Mark is currently collaborating with the writer Claire Louise Bennet on a Photobook titled Strange tales from the Riverbank.
