These prints are part of an ongoing series titled It Came To Me In A Dream inspired by Danú, one of the most important goddesses in Irish Mythology. Very little imagery or stories of Danú are known today other than that she was the mother of Tuath dé Danann.
Sibéal Riordan is an Irish artist and maker based in Limerick, Ireland. She is a graduate of Limerick School of Art & Design with a BA in Photography, film & Video and an MA in Social Practice & the Creative Environment. She is a current member of Limerick Printmakers, Visual Artists Ireland and the Mná na nEalaín collective.
She is a multi disciplinary artists who uses mediums such as darkroom photography, analogue processes, digital photography, video, collage, silkscreen printing & photo etching. Her fine art practice is informed by irish history, mythology, feminism and our relationship with nature.
