Conlon has been taking photographs in the market area of Dublin 7 over the last decade, documenting the slow deterioration inside the market as it prepared to close its doors and the traders dispersed. Brendan’s Cafe thankfully continues to trade as it always did due to the fact there are many builders in the area as the market traders have now gone. The artist visits this cafe frequently where you a get a reasonably cheap fry washed down by a generous amount of tea. The cafe is iconic and now is used quite a lot for film shoots as places like this have become so rare in Dublin.
