About the Artist

Alan Crowley is a photographer and printmaker. His photographs are framed by theories of phenomenology and by memoir. His work explores the relationship between memory and the latent agency of the environment as we feel our way through a world that is in constant flux.

The photographs he makes combine the scene before him with threads of his memories and the many narrative layers of the world experienced since. Everyday scenes become part of a visual memoir, where the present, memories and personal stories are unearthed and traced back to particular places.

He is a lecturer in Limerick School of Art & Design (TUS) where he attained his B.A.(Hons) in Fine Art Printmaking and M.A. by Research. He is a member of Black Church Print Studio and Secretary to the Board of Directors. He also holds membership at the Gallery of Photography and Visual Artist Ireland. He is the recipient of an Agility Award from The Arts Council.

We only deliver framed prints within Dublin. Framed prints are no longer posted. All postage costs for unframed works are processed separately following order of the print. This is to allow for specific protective packaging for each individual case. After purchase, we will contact you to organise delivery and payment for delivery costs.

Alternatively, free Click-and-Collect is available from The Library Project at 4 Temple Bar Street, D02YK53 during opening hours.
