By looking at the works of Nilbar Gures, Zeyno Pekunly, Fatma Belkic, Onur Gokmen and Yusa Yalcintas, we unpack their sharp and incisive sense of humour reflecting on the opacity and intractability of widespread sociocultural change in Turkey. We explore how humour can challenge power relations.
