About the Artist

Richard Lawlor graduated from IADT in 2016 with an Honours degree in Fine Art. He is a member of Graphic Studio Dublin post college. He has participated in group shows in both Graphic Studio Gallery and SO Fine Art Editions. He took part in a three-person exhibition titled 'Sub-Plot' in 2022 at SO Fine Art Editions. Lawlor was awarded first prize in print in the RUA annual exhibition in 2022 and was selected for the RHA annual exhibition in 2023. His practice is concerned with and inspired photography and film with a figurative focus. His work is portrait based and Lawlor is concerned with the fragility of the human condition.
