In 2018 and 2019 Helio León was invited to Marfa, Texas, by Marfa Open Arts Festival. This work is the result of his stay. These photographs reveal a fascination with Americana, capturing the colours of the Texan landscape, the wide open skies and neon lights. They showcase a personal exploration, engaging intimately with local people, artists, and visitors that bring life to Marfa; fleeting moments of a cinematic fiction where reality becomes mythical.
