About the Artist

Monika Dubinkaite is a photographer, visual researcher, inspired by the genre of still life. She lives and works in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Monika's approach to her work is both deliberate and intuitive, as she carefully defines boundaries, assigns roles, and provides impulse and direction, while also allowing space for chance encounters and unexpected moments to emerge. For Monika, the ultimate goal of her work is to create a dialogue between the artwork and the viewer, inviting the spectator to engage in a meaningful conversation with the image. With every new composition she invents, Monika feels as though she is reinventing herself, continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible in still life photography.

Her long-term projects were exhibited at international exhibitions and festivals such as Rotterdam Photo (The Netherlands), ReStart (Lithuania), Presence (Russia). She’s got mentions and publications in photography all over the world. Monika Dubinkaite graduated from FotoDepartment in St. Petersburg. She collaborates with fashion brands and magazines as an artist and art director, bringing her unique perspective and creative vision to every project she undertakes.
